The Kiwifruit San'green'a

Ingredients

  • 3 cups ice cubes
  • sliced fruit of your choice (we used kiwifruit and apples)
  • handful of mint leaves, plus extra to garnish
  • 400ml kiwifruit juice
  • 750ml (1 bottle) pinot gris
  • 300ml kombucha (we used feijoa kombucha)
  • lime wedges, to garnish
Just like James and Marama, kiwifruit and pinot gris take a co-leader role in this sangria recipe. Keep Cup optional. Serves 6-8 easily.

  1. Add ice to punch bowl or pitcher, then nestle thinly-sliced fruit where they can be visible (sides for a jug or pitcher, or on top for a punch bowl).
  2. Squeeze a handful of mint leaves to release flavour, then add to pitcher or punch bowl.
  3. Add kiwifruit juice, pinot gris, then kombucha.
  4. Give a gentle stir, and pour into serving glasses.
  5. Garnish individual glasses with a lime wedge (squeeze some juice into the glass first, before dropping it in) and a sprig of mint.
