Taylors' Estate Label Chardonnay: The Secret To Drinking It At The Perfect Temperature

The characteristics of Taylors' Estate Label Chardonnay are impressive on paper – and on the palate.

Award-winning Taylors Wines’ Estate Label Chardonnay 2021 is a blend of 70% Padthaway fruit and 30% Clare Valley fruit.

This drop can boast 'Clare Valley Wine of the Year' and a double gold medal at the China Wine & Spirit Awards Best Value (Hong Kong). Not only that, it's claimed two gold and four silver medals at other prestigious wine competitions around the world.

On the nose, it displays aromas of white peach, nectarine, and subtle citrus zest, alongside hints of cashew and cream. The palate follows, offering succulent stone fruit flavours underpinned by cashew nut, and an underlying toastiness from barrel fermentation in French oak.

Clean, elegant and mouth-filling, this wine has a zesty acid backbone and a long, persistent finish.

DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THE TAYLORS' TEMPERATURE GUIDE?

Temperature is a critical element in maximising a wine’s flavour. Experts advise that although most white wine should be enjoyed between 6-12˚C, chilling white wine too much will mask the wine’s unique aromas and flavours and make acidity more pronounced.

That’s why the back label of Taylors’ Estate wines all feature a thermochromatic Optimum Drinking Temperature sensor, which changes colour depending on the temperature of the wine – helping everyday wine drinkers enjoy what’s in the glass a bit more and appreciate wine the way the winemaker intended.

Taylors’ Chief Winemaker Adam Eggins suggests pulling white wines from the fridge 30 minutes prior to opening and enjoying, to give the wine enough time to warm up, and to fully express its aromas and unique flavours.

Enjoy!
