Ingredients

  • 40ml Johnnie Walker Double Black Blended Scotch
  • 5ml fresh lemon juice
  • 10ml Bénédictine
  • 15ml sweet vermouth
  • ginger glass, to garnish (see recipe below)

  1. Place all the ingredients, except the garnish, in a mixing glass, pack with cubed ice and stir until the glass is frosted.
  2. Pour into a chilled rocks glass with a large ice cube and garnish with shards of ginger glass before serving.
  3. For the ginger glass:
  4. Line a baking tray with baking paper and refrigerate to chill. Warm 1 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon grated ginger in a pan and heat slowly on the hob, stirring continuously. When the sugar melts and liquid turns amber, pour the liquid carefully onto the cold tray; beware, it is extremely hot. When the glass is cool, break into shards and serve.
