Poison Apple

Ingredients

  • cinnamon, to rim glass
  • lime, to rim glass
  • 2 kiwifruits, peeled and diced
  • ice cubes, handful
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 70ml apple schnapps
  • 45ml vodka
  • sliced Granny Smith (green) apple, to serve
Apple schnapps and kiwifruit give this vodka cocktail the tantalising tang you'd expect on Halloween. Serves 2 small coupe/martini glasses.
  1. To prepare glass: Rub a slice of lime on the rim of the martini glasses, then roll the edges in cinnamon.
  2. To make the cocktail: Add kiwifruit to a blender and blend (or mash by hand) to make a smooth puree. Pour the kiwi puree into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, then pour the remaining ingredients into the cocktail shaker. Shake until mixed. Immediately pour the drink into the prepared glasses. Garnish with apple slices and serve.
