GOOD THINKING

3 Beers For The Next Gen!

These three brands are evolving to match the needs of the next generation of beer drinkers.

Low-Bitter Lager

Perfect for people who appreciate easy-drinking, low bitter lagers, this low-carb addition to Heineken's line-up is a crisp and refreshing lager that is 99% carb free and has only 88 calories per bottle!

Crafted with malted barley, water, and the legendary Heineken A Yeast, Heineken Silver is brewed using an ice-cold lagering process at -1°C to create a smooth and refreshing taste while staying true to Heineken's passion for quality and commitment to premium ingredients.

Just Better

Our favourite Aussie battlers Matt and Jack – founders of Better Beer – have continued to craft new beers that they thought were missing. Their most coveted can in Aotearoa? The zero carb, zero sugar, 87 calories per serve can. It’s an award-winning brew for a reason – crisp, mighty, refreshing... It’s made of the good stuff – water, malt (malted barley), hops and yeast.

Can-Do Attitude

Kāpiti-based brewery, Tuatara, is making the switch to cans in an exciting evolution that sees the brewery adapting to meet Kiwi craft preferences. “Over the last few years, we’ve seen a trend towards Kiwi craft drinkers preferring the can format over bottles”, says Sam Forrest of DB Breweries. “Convenience is a big factor. Cans stack easily in the fridge plus they are easy to chuck in a bag on the way to a barbecue. They are also easier to transport, with the 330ml cans being 17x lighter than the original 330ml Tuatara bottles.”
