Why Pa Road Chardonnay is worthy of your attention

Looking for a gently-oaked chardonnay that possesses an abundance of stone fruit, married with vanilla and butterscotch aromas? Try this delightful drop from Marlborough's Pā Road.

Silky and rich with ripe fruit character, tempered by smooth vanilla oak and hints of spice and marzipan, Pā Road Chardonnay is certainly a delight for the tastebuds. It's perfectly paired with truffle arancini balls, mushroom pasta or pizza, pork dishes and chicken – especially roast chicken on these cooler autumn and winter months.

Care in its creation

The fruit used to create this 5-Star rated chardonnay is machine-picked, gently pressed, then lightly settled to a mix of French oak barrels and tanks.

The wine is aged for 9 months, giving it tonnes of rich flavours from the French oak barrels.

It also undergoes malo-lactic fermentation which creates the smooth, creamy, vanilla notes that we know and love with Chardonnay.

Sustainably-grown and vegan-friendly by the award-winning team at Pā Road Wines, this wine is well worth the try.

Here's what the critics say

"A classic bouquet of Chardonnay with medium intensity of peaches and apples, there’s a moderate use of oak, but still showcases the light cashew and baking spice qualities. Slightly lighter textures on the palate too with a satin-cream texture, medium+ acidity and weight, balanced use of oak layering a touch of perceived sweetness. Drinkable from day of purchase through 2025+." Cameron Douglas

"It's elegantly complex on the nose showing nectarine, fig, nougat, roasted cashew and oatmeal characters. The palate is delightfully flavoursome with succulent fruit flavours and creamy texture, well supported by refined mouthfeel and juicy acidity. Harmonious and persistent, finishing delectable and lingering." Sam Kim
