Be in to win a set of three Lillie’s Q sauces just in time for the start of barbecue season
Chicago restaurant Lillie’s Q specialises in Southern American-style barbecue dishes and sides. Founding chef Charlie McKenna has competed on the competition barbecue circuit for over 10 years, winning many awards, and his restaurant is known for smoking meats like pork shoulder, baby back ribs and chicken in two custom built smokers over peach wood and lump charcoal.
Following the success of the original restaurant, McKenna opened an outpost Florida and released a range of Lillie's Q sauces. From Carolina Gold to Hot Smoky, each of the Lillie´s Q sauces and rubs pays homage to the deep-rooted barbeque traditions of specific Southern regions of America.
This week Toast and Lillie’s Q have a set of three barbecue sauces – perfect with pork, chicken, ribs and barbecued meats – to give away to one lucky reader. The set (pictured below) includes the following sauces:
- Lillie’s Q Hot Smoky: a fire-starter of a sauce which begins sweet and ends with a hot kick, perfect for slow-cooked ribs and beef
- Lillie’s Q Gold: the perfect match for pork and chicken, this South Carolina sauce has hits of mustard, molasses, tamarind, cayenne and pepper
- Lillie’s Q Ivory: this sauce was made to pair with chicken, fries and to dress homemade coleslaw, and is sweet and tangy with a pinch of Cajun spice
