TEA TIPPLES

Iced tea is one of the most refreshing drinks when it’s hot, so we’ve taken it up a notch with some tea-based drinks and cocktail ideas

TEA BEER

Good George Brewing recently partnered with fellow Hamilton company Zealong Tea Estate, to create a fragramt oolong tea-infused beer. The resulting High Tea Amber Ale is made with a combination of Zealong Black and Zealong Dark Oolong teas, to give the rich malt brown ale a roasted char flavour with a mild tea sweetness. “It’s like having tea and biscuits in one sip,” says Zealong’s blend master, Amy Reason.

TEA HIGHBALL

Absolut's Wild Tea combines the flavours of black tea with Scandinavian elderflower for a flavoured vodka that's a delicious refreshing sipper when mixed with fresh lime, tonic water or – Toast favourite – ginger ale. Serve in a tall ice-filled glass, garnished with fresh lime or mint leaves.

?TEATAILS

Here at Toast we’re huge fans of using tea in highballs and cocktails, as it’s a super easy way to easily add exotic ingredients and sugar-free flavour. Here’s a selection of our favourite tea-based cocktails, and while you're whipping up one of these, get yourself in this week's draw to win a set of Forage + Bloom organic herbal teas here, to help you get cocktail creative at home...
