Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum has released two collectable, limited-edition bottle wraps based on the iconic flash art designs of legendary American tattooist Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins
The undisputed father of old school tattoos, Norman Collins helped revolutionise the tattoo industry with his blend of traditional bold line Americana and Japanese technique. His legacy as a craftsman lives on in global tattoo culture – and now on two limited-edition Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum bottle wraps.
On a slick black bottle, an American eagle and a pin-up girl showcase the craft of old school tattooing, with each new design holding a specific meaning. The eagle is a symbol for America, which represents honour, prowess and intelligence. The pin-up girl design is arguably Sailor Jerry’s most iconic and represents femininity – the woman inked on a sailor’s arm being the only female form he would see for months.
Dave Hort, Global Brand Manager of Sailor Jerry says: “We wanted to provide our consumers with a collectable run of new bottle wraps based on the great, iconic works of our founding father Norman Collins. These new wraps showcase some of the highest-quality flash art that has spanned generations and we’re proud to continue spreading the word of Norman Collins through this limited-edition packaging.”
Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum has an intense aroma of vanilla, dry buttery toffee and subtle cinnamon. The taste is smooth with warm spices, rich vanilla and a hint of toasted toffee leading to a long, dry finish.
