Ingredients

  • 1 bottle porter beer
  • 45ml rum
  • 3 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar syrup
  • lime

Known as a skull rattler in the 16th century, this cocktail is a delicious mix of dark beer, rum and lime.

  1. To make the brown sugar syrup, place 1 teaspoon of brown sugar into the glass and mix with 1 tablespoon on hot water. Stir until the brown sugar has dissolved.
  2. Add the beer, rum, lime juice and ice, and stir until combined.
  3. Garnish with lime.
