Honey and Pear Whisky Sour

Ingredients

  • For the pear and honey syrup:
  • 2 pears, cores removed and roughly chopped
  • cup honey
  • 1 cup water
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • For the drink:
  • 2 chunks of pear out of the pear and honey syrup
  • 90ml Johnnie Walker Black Label Whisky
  • juice of two lemons
  • 4 tablespoons pear and honey syrup
  • ice
  • soda

Luscious, warming and smooth this comforting cocktail is perfect for winter sharing. Serves 2

  1. To make the pear and honey syrup, add all ingredients to a medium saucepan and bring to a gentle simmer
  2. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once pears are soft, remove from the heat and leave to cool
  3. Add two chunks of the pear, the Johnnie Walker Black Label Whisky, lemon juice and syrup to an ice-filled cocktail shaker
  4. Shake well for 30 seconds and pour evenly between two ice-filled short glasses and top with chilled soda
