Ingredients

  • 60ml Brown Brothers 1889 Merlot
  • 30ml spiced rum
  • 30ml orange juice
  • 15ml lemon juice
  • 15ml sugar syrup
  • orange slice & grated nutmeg to garnish (optional)
  • ice

This red wine cocktail made with Brown Brothers 1889 Merlot is perfect for winter dinner parties and cosy nights at home. Serves 1

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the 1889 Merlot, rum, juices and sugar syrup and shake well
  2. Strain into jar or tumbler filled with ice and garnish with orange slices and grated nutmeg if using. For a sweeter version, try using Brown Brothers Ciennna wine instead of the Merlot
