Chilli Cheese Dip with Tequila


  • 250 grams cream cheese
  • 250 grams sour cream
  • 300 grams cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 red chilli, finely chopped
  • small bunch fresh corriander, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons tequila
  • small pinch chilli powder
  • salt and pepper
  • extra cheddar cheese and fresh corriander to serve

This Mexican-inspired recipe uses tequila, chilli and cheese for a snack made in heaven

  1. Place the cream cheese, sour cream and grated cheese in a saucepan, and gently heat on a medium-low heat
  2. Add the chilli, coriander, tequila and chilli powder and season well
  3. Set aside until ready to serve
  4. When ready to serve, pour into a small ovenproof serving dish, sprinkle over some additional grated cheese and grill in the oven for about 10 minutes, until warmed through and slightly crisp and golden on top
  5. Serve with corn chips, pitta bread or fresh bread
