Lager Meets Hops

DB Export has launched a refreshing beer inspired by the changing taste of Kiwis

DB Export Hop Lager is the new brew from DB Export which brings together the best parts of both a great tasting lager and the richer flavour and aroma of more hops. This new brew heralds an evolution in the taste of New Zealanders looking for something a bit different in their lagers.

As DB Breweries’ Head Brewer Dave Eaton explains, the new DB Export Hop Lager delivers a unique taste, without the bitterness of typical hoppy beers. “DB Export Hop Lager is really pushing the boundaries of a lager, we’ve used four New Zealand hop varieties – Dr. Rudi, Pacifica, Green Bullet and Pacific Gem. We then added a unique hop blend late in the brewing process to bring out the aromas and flavours without adding bitterness into the brew. The end result is a fantastic lager with the taste of subtle stone fruit, tropical notes and citrus blood orange character.”

DB Export Hop Lager is a new addition to the DB Export family and will join the shelves alongside the brand’s seven other beers. Available in both cans and bottles from the 16th of October at Liquorland stores and at select bars across the country.
